Phil acts as a Director within Hanger’s Department of Clinical and Scientific affairs where he develops evidence-based clinical programs designed to help patients improve their orthotic and prosthetic outcomes. Through outcomes implementation, landmark research studies and the establishment of Clinical Practice Guidelines, Phil has set national standards of care based on science and at the forefront of O&P care.  He has been intimately involved in the development of Hanger Clinic protocols and policies in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.    He is a former President of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists, and co-editor of the current Atlas of Amputation and Limb Deficiencies.  He is a graduate of the University of Washington’s O&P program with a Master’s Degree from the University of Houston in Allied Health Education and Administration.
